Behind the Obscure Glass

Standing behind obscure glass, our vision is twisted and blurred. The light dims as the etched glass pattern is denser. Likewise, our understanding of the past gradually distorts with the passing of time and our changing perceptions.

“Beautiful and pleasant creations are born as one pleases”. In a similar perspective, Kei Wing creates seemingly pleasant scenes through a sense of reflective nostalgia. Intertwining reality with what could have been, the grasses grow, the flowers bloom, the snails creep, and the pie is still hot from the oven. However, everything is just a blurred reflection of the past and present. What lies beneath is still unknown.
